The VMC1890 vertical machining center is developed to meet the increasing demand for machining large and heavy structural parts with high precision and long-term stability. Its enlarged working envelope, reinforced machine structure and powerful spindle configuration make it suitable for industries such as mold manufacturing, energy equipment, automotive parts, precision machining workshops and general heavy-industry production lines.

The machine features an extended travel system, typically offering around 1800 mm in the X-axis, 900 mm in the Y-axis and 700–800 mm in the Z-axis, allowing operators to handle large plates, mold bases, machine components and heavy blocks without repositioning. The wide-span column and oversized base greatly increase rigidity, while the heavy-duty saddle design minimizes vibration during aggressive milling. These structural advantages ensure excellent performance in rough cutting, semi-finishing and precision contouring operations.

The spindle system is one of the core strengths of the VMC1890. Equipped with a high-power spindle motor ranging between 11–18.5 kW depending on configuration, the machine delivers strong torque output suitable for hard-material machining such as alloy steel, stainless steel and cast iron. The spindle speed range typically reaches up to 8000 rpm, enabling both heavy milling and fine surface finishing. High-precision bearings and forced lubrication guarantee smooth rotation and thermal stability during long-duration machining cycles.

To ensure precise axis movement, the machine adopts large-diameter C3-grade ball screws and heavy-duty linear guideways or roller-type guides depending on the configuration. This contributes to high load capacity and consistent dynamic accuracy. Both ends of the ball screws are pre-tensioned, improving rigidity and reducing thermal deformation. The servo motors deliver rapid feed rates up to 20–24 m/min, significantly reducing non-cutting time and enhancing productivity.

The VMC1890 supports a wide variety of machining operations including pocket milling, boring, drilling, rigid tapping and mold-surface contouring. With optional coolant-through-spindle systems, chip conveyors, automatic tool changers (such as 24T or 32T arm-type ATC), and workpiece probing systems, the machine can be configured for automated and continuous production. The machine's enclosure design ensures safe operation, good chip evacuation and easy access for maintenance.

Its advanced CNC control system, often based on FANUC, Siemens or Mitsubishi platforms, provides stable program execution, high-speed interpolation and excellent reliability. Combined with a rigid mechanical structure, this ensures high repeatability and dimensional accuracy even under prolonged heavy loading conditions. The machine is well-suited for processing mold cavities, bearing housings, mechanical plates, die-casting components and precision fixtures.

For workshops seeking improved efficiency, machining consistency and long-term equipment reliability, the VMC1890 offers a balanced combination of spacious travels, high power, strong rigidity and precise motion control. It is an ideal machining center for large-scale industrial applications where performance and durability are critical factors.
