Because CNC lathe machining is a high-precision work, and its processing process is concentrated and the number of parts clamping is small, it puts forward higher requirements for the CNC tools used.

When choosing a tool for CNC machine tool processing, the following aspects should be considered:
(1) The type, specification and accuracy level of CNC tools should be able to meet the requirements of CNC lathe machining.

(2) High precision. In order to meet the requirements of high precision and automatic tool change of CNC lathe machining, the tool must have high precision.

(3) High reliability. In order to ensure that there will be no accidental damage and potential defects in CNC machining that affect the smooth progress of machining, it is required that the tool and the accessories combined with it must have good reliability and strong adaptability. Precision hardware processing

(4) High durability. The tools processed by CNC lathes, whether in rough machining or finishing, should have higher durability than the tools used in ordinary machine tool processing, so as to minimize the number of replacement or resharpening tools and tool pairing, so as to improve the processing efficiency of CNC machine tools and ensure the processing quality.

(5) Good chip breaking and chip removal performance. In CNC lathe machining, chip breaking and chip removal can not be processed manually in time like ordinary machine tool processing, and the chips are easy to be wound on the tool and the workpiece, which will damage the tool and scratch the machined surface of the workpiece, and even cause injury and equipment accidents, affecting the processing quality and the safe operation of the machine tool, so the tool is required to have good chip breaking and chip removal performance.
