Usage

This vertical slotting machine is used to process the plane, profile and groove of various workpieces, and is suitable for single-piece small batch production. The machine tool is composed of main parts such as bed, ram, worktable, feed box, and electrical. The bed is composed of an upper and a lower part. The front of the upper bed is equipped with a ram, a sliding frame and a rocking handle mechanism, and a partition is cast at the bottom as a lubricating oil pool. Oil is delivered to rams, guide rails, etc. through gear pumps, oil separators, etc., and oil can be filled by opening the back cover of the bed. Refer to the front oil level for the oil level. There is a dovetail guide rail at the top of the lower bed for longitudinal movement of the worktable. A motor is installed inside the rear, and a feed box is installed on the right side of the rear. The ram rocker mechanism is a mechanism that changes the rotary motion of the rocker gear into the reciprocating linear motion of the ram. According to the height of the workpiece, the ram can be adjusted within 315 mm. Refer to the control system diagram when adjusting. You can first loosen the nut in front of the front ram, and then twist the bevel gear with hexagonal head to get the verticality position of the ram. Tighten the nut when the requirements are met. When the ram is returning to the stroke, the insert tool can rotate with the tool chuck around the taper pin at the lower right to protect the cutting edge of the tool. The hand wheel on the gearbox can be turned by hand to obtain the vertical movement of the ram. The worktable can realize three different movements, and can obtain longitudinal, lateral or rotary motorized feeds respectively. The start and stop of the machine tool are realized by the button installed on the front end of the lower bed and the handle on the right side of the gearbox.

 

Brief description 

This vertical slotting machine is used for slotting flat and formed surfaces, grooves and keyway. It is suitable for either single-piece or small serial production. The machine is mainly composed of column, ram, table, feed box, speed gearbox and electrical equipment, etc.

The column is composed of two parts, i.e. the upper part, which is formed the main column; and the lower one, which is formed the column base.

Ram slide and crank mechanism are mounted in the upper part of the column. A separator castled in the lower part of the column is to form an oil reservoir from which oil is delivered by a plunger pump through an oil distributor to the ram guide, etc. For filling the oil, just open the rear cover of the column. The oil level is observed form an oil gauge in the front of the column. The front top of the column base is provided with dovetail guides for longitudinal movement of the table. The electric motor is mounted in the rear interior, while the feed box is mounted on the rear right side of the column base.

The ram and the crank-mechanism of vertical slotting machine are used for converting the rotating motion of the crankshaft into reciprocating motion of the ram .According to different heights of work, the ram can be adjusted in the range of 0-400mm.For adjusting the ram, first loosen the clamping nut fitted in the front of the ram, then turn the bevel gear which has an hexagon hole, the vertical adjustment of the ram can then be carried out. When the adjustment is completed, be sure to tighten the nut again. During the return stroke of the ram, the tool block can swing round the hinge pin fitted on the lower right side of tool block to protect the cutting edge of the slotting tool from damage. The hand wheel mounted on the speed gearbox is provided for manual vertical movement of the ram.
